You can still participate in the auction!MCN is proud to have been in the service of Muslim youth, families, and community members for the past 16 years. We are proud to cultivate the civic leadership of our youth and train the future leaders of tomorrow, making out turning of sweet 16 ever sweeter. This year, we are excited to bring on new leadership, grow our staff, and make an impact through the expansion of our programs, such as:
1. The launch of a signature Muslim youth social justice fellowship program for Muslim students
2. Introducing a social service program aimed at helping Muslim foster care children and strengthening family support services; the family unit is a central pillar in safeguarding rights and protection;
3. Growing an innovative arts & culture program to help change the narrative of what it means to be Muslim in America.
The evening will feature a welcome reception, sit-down three-course dinner, a silent auction, awards ceremony, and entertainment. This year we have a fantastic line-up of award recipients and entertainment. The night will be hosted by famed comedian, Dean Obeidallah and entertainment will be provided by a 4-piece ensemble, The Brooklyn Nomads and Billboard chart artist, Zeshan B. Our awardees this year are:
Trailblazer: Amani Al-Khatatbeh, Founder and Editor in Chief of Muslim Girl.com
Ally: Peter Gudaitis, CEO of New York Disaster Interfaith Services
Leaders: Judges Shah Ally and Caroline Walker (first two Muslim judges in NYC)
We will be very grateful for your presence!
